Alex took to the stage tonight with guitar in hand to sing “Trouble” which has been done by many artists in the past. After his version of the song here were the judges comments and thoughts:

Randy-Thought it was a good song chioce for Alex but didn’t feel “wowed by it” enjoyed it but thought it could have been a little faster and more upbeat.

Ellen said he is ripining so fast, he’s becoming a mushy banana! She feels he just gets better and better every week! She really really enjoyed it.

Kara said the only thing standing in the way of him winning is himself. He is so good but is still so stiff and not letting go, she wants to see him “in the moment” and being himself!

Simon agreed with Kara. He thinks Alex needs to get himself somewhere else..”imagine randy in a bikini” he needs to relax–stop thinking about the cameras and just let himself go!

Alex sang Everybody Knows by John Legend tonight while playing his guitar on American Idol. This week the judges seemed to
Randy felt this was such an improvement from last week. He loved him with the guitar and overall really enjoyed it!
Ellen reminded us of her ‘banana’ reference and said this week it was amazing how quickly he ripined! She thinks he has such a great voice “under that mullet”. She also feels he has the most unique style of everybody here.
Kara feels like everyone is pulling for him and that he has an incredible recordable voice that he just dosen’t know what to do with yet- but he’s gonna learn!
Simon said that was a million times better then last week. He wants to see more confidence in him and the drive for him to win because right now it’s missing. Once he fully believes in himself and that he has a chance to win Simon feels we’ll see a completly different person on stage.

Alex sang “Wonderful World” by James Morrison tonight on American Idol. Here’s what the judges said:
Simon–”I don’t know who has happier for that to end, You or Me” “It was an uncomfortable performance” He did however go on to say that Alex does have a good voice but he’s got to get his nerves together or he won’t be going anywhere.
Kara-wanted to give him a hug, she then went on to say he sounded SO much like James Morrison which was a bad thing and a compliment all in one. She feels he has great potential and he needs to believe in himself.
Randy- totally agreed with Kara and said Alex needs to just pull it all together and hopes he sticks around!
Ellen– She likes him too, thinks he’s adorable and loves that he’s going to hold onto that mullet and not let it go! She then compared him to a banana and how we all like banana’s but we want them to be ripe and he’s still not ripe yet but we want him to be!
